The beginning of the Oxford Canal (Northern Section) is at Hawkesbury, running

by a the Grand Union Canal between Braunston Turn and Napton Junction, a distance

Braunston Turn and is part of the Warwickshire Cruising Ring.
The canal passes through rolling open farmland, largely following the contours
